Custom Pencil Portrait of Afghan Hound in Black and White

My latest custom pencil portrait is a montage drawing of an Afghan Hound. This piece was a joy to create as the client supplied many wonderful photos of this expressive animal from which to create the final art. Lori Draper, who ordered this portrait, said: “We gave this portrait to our sister as a birthday gift in memory of her dog, Muri. He was a beautiful 4 year old Afghan Hound with lots of personality!”

I have updated my Custom Pencil Portraits of dogs, horses, cats and familes page to include Muri’s portrait. And new to the page is a Slide Show featuring a sampling of recent custom pet and family portraits!

I think this is going to go down as one of my all-time favorite portraits. The drawing shown is a portrait of the Doberman Pinscher dog “Heidi”. As a Doberman-lover myself, this drawing had special meaning to me. The project also came in right about the time that my own black Dobe passed. Somehow working with these beautiful images of Heidi helped me get through the grieving process. Thanks to Karen and Ty for this wonderful opportunity! Polo Artwork Donated to Art Fever in Lexington, KY

“Anticipation”

This year I have donated a large Original Pencil Drawing, titled “Anticipation,” to the Art Fever event in Lexington, Kentucky. The polo-themed artwork is framed and ready to hang. This framed horse art is approximately 20″x27.”

Held on November 13th, Art Fever is an exhibition of original works which will be available through a Reverse Raffle. Art Fever is the Lexington Art League’s (LAL’s) annual art fundraiser — all funds support LAL’s exhibitions and programs. Black and White Cat Drawing with Yellow Eyes

My latest pencil drawing features a gorgeous black & white cat named Emily. She has the most incredible “angel hair” whiskers and bright yellow eyes! Thanks to Melissa for the photographs that made this drawing possible!

The artwork has been named “Whiskers” and is now available as signed and numbered limited edition cat prints. The prints sport hand-tinted yellow eyes.
